"You're way too invested in this," he muttered through a begrudging smirk. There was the mixture of not wanting to drink and feeling like an amateur that kept Ty reserved in front of Tandy. He stood a stark contrast from her animated self, which shouldn't be anything new. They were opposites in a lot of ways but the same where it seemed to count. He trusted her but that didn't change being hesitant over the new experience.

If he were honest, it was also a little entertaining that she was so interested in corrupting him. That sounded harsher than it really was. Tandy was providing the high school experience he had deprived himself of. The truth was that whatever she had gotten him a cup of wasn't half bad. It really was his first drink ever. "What is this again?" he asked--knowing full well she had not mentioned at all what she'd gotten him to drink.

He sipped some more and turned away from Tandy only to step back and nestle between her legs, her knees at each side of his ribs. Ty didn't like his back to the crowd although he trusted Tandy to have his back. The move seemed more natural and maybe safe? He wasn't the possessive type but could get jealous. Secretly jealous to where his subconscious could easily be more at ease having his girlfriend in close proximity than looking like anyone having a conversation.
